Gallery Love and Freebies

It's my last wednesday for gallery love for a while, in July I will be blogging on Mondays.

First up is IvoryKeys, she used the Purely Perfect mini kit.
I love how she balanced the cluster in one corner with the pretty grunge on the other corner.
IvoryKeys

Pick up Purely Pixels at Scrapbook Bytes, and get the worn papers free with purchase.

I really like the use of the frames in the second layout of the day, from bergstromfarms.
Also nice is how the yellow ties everything together; the paper, frames, embellies and the photos all have some yellow.

Here is my layout with Summer Sprites:

Click on the layouts to go to the ladies galleries and leave them some love!

Photoshops Dies so...

What do you do when Photoshop quits on you at 11:00 at night? Well... I didn't give-up, I tried something new- it's not my favorite, and when I can get photoshop up I will add a few more elements, but this page was put together in Picasa. I have been using Picasa for all of my organizing and for my simple photo edits. It can make some really fun collages- and it will add shadows. So for my late night- "I can't believe my program quit on me"- this was pretty good.

A few more of the elements from Here Comes the Sun will be going on my page when I figure out what I've done to offend my program.

Here is part 3 of Bridal Veil

I haven't seen any of your creations- if you have made something, drop me a line, I'd love to see your work.

Gallery Love and a Freebie

Do you need some inspiration? I have two fabulous galleries for you to browse and find some amazing pages.
KerryT has great pages and if you want some inspiration on using more than one photo on a page- you'll find some wonderful ideas here. rumor also has it that there may be a recipe for a lime coconut cheesecake on one of the pages.

If you'd like to work on some blocking- check out darthChrista's gallery. here is a great example of using masking to highlight the photo. I love how blue it made the eyes, it really draws me in.

Stop by both of the galleries to leave them some love and find some inspiration. Scrap-lift anyone??

I will have a little freebie for you next week (at A+ Designs) to celebrate the release of a new kit by A+ Designs.

Now for the second installment of the free kit:
Pattern Papers 1

As always, I'd love to see what you have created- leave me a link to your gallery or send me and e-mail I'd love to feature your work!

Thank you and a new kit

I appreciate all of your kind words and birthday wishes. They made me smile! Thanks to everyone.

I celebrated with the fam at the zoo. I have about 300 more images to process, but here was an early favorite.
The soft pink and brown of
Pretty in Pink fit the fun image and didn't overpower the fun she was having on the carousel.

If you love My 4 Princesses Designs and want her fun kits, now is the time- she is having a buy my store sale! Only $17.99 for the entire store!

You can pick up fun kits that I have featured here like

I am Child of God

Now, you could pick these all up individually- and maybe you already have 1 or 2. With over 15 kits and paper packs, you are getting quite a deal when you pick up the entire store. You also will get the 2010 Calendar kit, templates, and mini kits. If you only picked up the 4 kits above, you would still save money by buying the store. So take her up on the offer and Buy the Store!

My new free kit-
I started this kit to scrap my week in the life, but haven't finished putting that all together because I was having too much fun designing kits.

This is Bridal Veil- I wanted something soft and neutral for my project, and then because of the title I added in some word art and dates to coordinate.

Layout of the Week and Growing Up Patterns 2

Today I'd like to highlight a couple of the CT gals-

Up first is

y baros

I really like the stacking of the elements, but by keeping them in a line, it still feels organized.

She used the Fresh Squeezed kit
available at

next is IntenseMagic
gallery

I like how she used the frame behind the image, that's one of my new favorite ways to use frames.

She used Forever Loved

Available at
on sale for $1.00

I made a little cluster from Forever Loved and you can pick it up at

I'd love to see what you are making with my kits, I'm so busy I haven't had much time to play recently.

One Dollar Wednesday and WA Freebie

Tomorrow only you have the chance to pick up any of these great kits for only
$1
Hurry and snag these before the price goes up Thursday!

Here's a page using the newest kit, I am a Child of God

I have the word art as a Freebie for you
Check the end of the post after the tip I just learned.

Did you know that My 4 Princesses Designs has new designer recources available at
Color Swatches are great for designing your own kits, but they are also good if you are looking to mix it up and want to put items from different kits together. Swatches can give you a jumping off point to look through your stash and find things that coordinate but aren't in the same kit.

A New (to me) Tip
I just learned a Photoshop trick-it's new to me but if you've heard it feel free to skip ahead. If I hold ctrl while I hover over the swatches pallette, a little pair of scissors appears and I can quickly delete any swatches that I don't want in my way. This also works on the brushes pallete, I hate resetting my brushes, I don't want to delete them all, but my old way of deleting took forever-you know, right click-delete brush-confirm delete. Now I can just hold down Ctrl and click away- I cleaned up my pallete in no time!
FYI- I'm on a mac so I don't know the keyboard shortcut to do this on a PC, but I'm sure it can be done and it saves so much time!

A+ Designs - and Growing Up Patterns 1

This week I found this beautiful layout by CindyB at Gotta Pixel.

She Says:
I found a little boarder in my apple tree yesterday afternoon...looks like we'll have some baby birdies soon!

I love how the bird in the nest blend so beautifully with the background paper that she chose. If you'd like to pick up what she used, it was Retro Spring, a collaboration kit by Armina Designs and A+ Designs.

The part of the kit by A+ Designs is on sale at Creative Mundi!

This beautiful page is in the the Gallery over at Creative Mundi.
by VissyMac

I love the simplicity of the page and how well it pairs with the black and white image. I am also drawn in by the catch lights in the eye. The eye just sparkles and looks so clear.

Whimsy is on sale over at Gotta Pixel

This page was created by LivyBug on the Creative Team:
I like how she used the same image in different sizes, it adds interest and keeps the page simple. The elements tie the images together and ground everything on the page.

She used Elegance Eve
the new beautiful (purple) kit available at Creative Mundi.
Head over to the galleries to leave these ladies some love, the images are linked so click on over and find some inspiration.

And Finally:

Here is a second installment of
Growing Up
